Cutest girls ever! Silly Brooklyn This Christmas season has been so fun. We have had so many fun parties and get togethers this year. Brooklyn is so excited and she Loves Santa and always want to sit on his lap. Whenever we ask her what she wants Santa to bring her she replies, "A candy cane!" Hey, I am not complaining...she is easily satisfied. Having Makayla also makes this Christmas season fabulous. Having 2 kids is just so much more fun. She is growing and is very healthy. We are so happy to have her in our family. Brooklyn is also taking to her very well and is such a great big sister and a big help to mom. Today was our first "REAL" snow where we actually had to shovel the driveway. Brooklyn helped me and then we went and played. We attempted to build a snowman, but I guess I am not too good at that. We made snow angels though and this year she was loving just laying in the snow and having fun...last year, not so much! I can actually bear the snow and it doesn't bother me so much now that I can see Brooklyn's face so happy because she gets to play in it and eat it! All in all we are doing great and are enjoying this holiday season and trying to just soak it all in!
The newest member of our family is finally here! We are so happy to have Makayla Ann Warnick in our lives. She was born on Friday, October 14th at 5:29 pm. She weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces and was 20 inches long. She is just as beautiful and perfect as her older sister.
So......our life will be changing in October, when we will be expecting another baby! It will not be changing so much because it's another girl!! We are still a family of lots of pink! Hopefully this will not strip Chris of his pride and masculinity! Brooklyn still has not quite figured it out yet, but she is so nurturing already that I just know she will be a fabulous big sister! We are excited for this new change in our lives and couldn't be happier!
Well, this weekend has been kind of eventful. We felt Brooklyn's first tooth coming in AND she started crawling. She is just growing up too fast. The Easter bunny came and visited our house and Brooklyn crawled all around finding her eggs. I of course had to help her a little bit. We love the holidays so much more now with our little girl! Happy Easter everyone!
Here are some pics that Chris' Aunt Lisa took of Brooklyn. She will be 8 months on the 31st. ALMOST crawling...I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad. We are having trouble at nights. At first she was such a good sleeper. I would wrap her up in this thing called snuggle me(or baby straight jacket) and she would sleep the whole night long. Well she has about outgrown that and now her hands are always waving and waking her up....Last night was the first night i just let her cry. It was hard and I went in there a few times to try to teach her to find her binkie on her own, but she did fall asleep on her own eventually...I hope she learns soon! Any suggestions? Still no teeth...but as cute as ever! Her hair grows the longest on top and that is why she is sporting the cupie doll hair do! We love our baby and she is always so happy during the day...Couldn't ask for a better girl! WE are so excited that it is getting warmer here and cant wait to play outside everyday!
The office...Finally in its own room and not combined with like 3 other things! We have kinda decorated this in a golf theme, but it still has a ways to go! The kitchen...YAY more cabinet and counter space!
The family room.
The drapes I made for the living room...I am so proud of them!
The living room
This is the master bathroom. We have 2 walk in closets! Its the best!
Brooklyns Room... Chris' dad made the vinyl lettering. She really is a princess!
Guest Bedroom...Whoever wants to come stay with us can!
Brooklyn's Bathroom. Isn't she spoiled? A bathroom all to herself. All we do in there is give her baths!
So we have been in our house for a month now. We love it so much. It is so much more convenient and we love our new neighborhood. The ward is great, although we still miss our old one. It is so nice to actually have room for everything instead of cramming the closets full. We would love visitors...so come on over! We are right off the Thanksgiving point exit, so you dont have to drive clear out in the middle of no where as my brother would say!
